Owen Sound

The end of the line.

This is the railway that used to serve the dock area, and the old station that is now a museum.
Maybe, given today's fuel prices, the line was closed a bit prematurely??
Isn't hindsight wonderful?

Timber warf pilings
Stumps

On the way to Owen Sound

We stopped for a brew and to stretch our legs at this quiet backwater.
It looks like it used to be an old mill - the dammed river to form a wier and the building set into the bank I think give it away.
I couldn't check it out any further because signs of "Private Property. Guard Dog. Keep Out" sort of prevented any more investigation.
So we contented ourselves enjoying the view from a picnic site across the road.
