Owen Sound

I'm sorry for the lack of photos for a while. I've been away at Owen Sound in Ontario for about a week.
I'll catch up with the pics as soon as I can.
Meantime, here's some links to where we were staying.

Space saving transport

The "Segway" parade at "The Distillery District" Toronto

The views from here ......

Pools are a lot of work, especially one this size. This one's wooden, 16ft x 32ft and above ground. There's always something that needs doing. If I was starting from scratch again, I'd go for a much more modern type (steel and vinyl) and one that doesn't rot!!

Pooled my resources

A new deck (5/8" exterior ply), a bit of outdoor carpet, and a new pool blanket, and we're right for a few more years :-)

"Shit happens"

Starlings ......
Protected species or not, they do a great job of muck-spreading!!

"Blue and green should never be seen"

On days like today, that's one old saying I'll cheerfully ignore!
Yesterday and today's weather has been picture perfect (not that my pics are); 24' C and no humidity to speak of. My grandson's birthday party was at our pool, so it was a glorious weekend.

Dawn.

This is a part of the Waterfront Trail that runs from Hamilton to Burlington. Lake Ontario is on the other side of the bushes.

A lovely morning.

The weather forecast was great, so I got up early and was rewarded with this sunrise ......
