Stelco and Dofasco Steelworks

I think I'd prefer this shot with a different background :-) but people have to work, right?

Actually, the backgound consists of the west side of Stelco only. The lights along the water is the dock, the bright flame with the fainter one behind it is #2 & #1 By-Products bleeder stacks, the steam cloud is a hot load of coke getting quenched @ #6 Quench Station, the stacks in front & behind the steam are the Coke Oven Battery stacks, (there's a total of five but some are obsucured. The closest is for #7 Battery & it is the only active one), to the right of the steam is 'E' Blast Furnace & then you have the coal, coke & iron ore piles.

The rest of Stelco is off camera to the left.

Just thought I'd be picky! :-)

Thanks for your comment, and thanks for the fix. I've never really known where the boundaries lay between the two companies, or the layout of either of them. It's good to find out what's what.
It would be good to take a tour one day, and as far as being picky goes - you can be as picky as you want:-)
Thanks again. Jeff.
